A Major Emergency can take many forms, from a fire, vessel collision or hydrocarbon spill through to a hurricane threatening your offshore or isolated facility.

Whilst your OIM has been trained to manage these emergencies, often his first point of support is your shore based Head Office who will have to liaise with third party ER agencies, deal with Media enquiries, support the Next of Kin and manage your company's business and reputation.
