Operational Readiness Evaluation Programme

Aim

The aim of the ORE programme is to practically assess in a controlled simulator the progress of student’s both individually and in a team environment. This is carried out on the completion of all safety training courses, and prior to the participant’s employment in the field.

Course Content

The ORE programme encompasses a multitude of safety and technical courses that have been taught recently. They include the following:

• Fire Fighting Team Leader
• Manual Handling
• Portable Gas Detection
• Scaffold Erection
• Fire Fighting Team Member
• Helicopter Fire & Crash Rescue
• Abrasive Wheels
• Incident Investigation
• Helicopter Landing Officer
• Crane Operation
• Rigging and Slinging
• Portable Hand Held Radios
• Major Emergency Management
• Confined Space Procedures
• BOSET

Course Duration

Due to the scope of courses that would be assessed, the ORE programme would be conducted over three days.
