Helicopter Fire Fighting & Rescue

Aim

To provide participants with the competencies to fight fires and perform rescues in helicopter related incidents.

Course Content

On completion, participants will be able to demonstrate competence in the theory and practice of the following:

• Helicopter construction
• Refuelling procedures (fire fighting requirement)
• Preplanning
• Rescue procedures
• Rescue Equipment
• Protective equipment (clothing etc)
• Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
• Fire fighting procedures

Course Duration

This course is conducted over two days.
